When you think life is rough, read this.

Until recently I worked in a print shop. One of my co-workers decided that he wanted to make a little extra money on the side and started copying movies and selling the DVDs at work.

Another co-worker, a very naive and quiet young man from El Salvador, who is a very religious Catholic with strong bonds to his religious wife, family and community purchased a movie called "Pirates" from the first co-worker.

The next day that we worked, the young man was more isolated from everyone else than normal and seemed distraught. It was well known at work that I am ordained, and the young man sought me out to talk with me and seek solace during a break.

The young man had gone home with his movie purchase, invited his parents, inlaws and children to watch it with him after church on Sunday. After eating lunch, he had gathered them all in front of his big screen TV to share 'Pirates of the Carribean' with them. With his mother and father, mother-in-law and father-in-law, wife and three children all seated, he started the movie.

The movie he had purchased and thought was Pirates of the Carribean was actually a very steamy pornographic movie. Needless to say, before he got the DVD player shut off, his family had all been well schooled in oral sex.

The next time you think you are having a bad day, remember that it could be far worsse.

Yes, I know that that's tastless. But so are hillbilies.

Let's see Draco, you don't like hillbillies or hippies. Have you come to these dislikes having met each and every one of both of these classifications and making an informed decision, or are you generalizing based upon limited information and interaction? There is another post active that deals with harmlessness that you may want to reread.

hey hey easy on that in the family stuff being legal in 3 states...i think i live in one of them lol...that guy should have watched it first to see if it was what he thought it was.

Omg- Thats horrable- you would think the first co-worker would have said if it was a porno knowing he is a religious person... Plus, wouldnt the porno movie be grounds for dismissle in the work place...? sexual harrasment wise- ya dig?

The place I worked was not for the socially elite. Seventy percent of the labor was foreign green card, and the rest were outcasts, like me, from their chosen career paths. The hours were horrible, the pay was substandard and the company was shady. If someone could turn an extra buck to get even, much less ahead, it was in the realm of anything is possible.

What is an interesting fact about what happens to us...it is always by our own choice.
