BLIND

My heart has been broken
My hope has been smashed
A broken bone can mend
But a soul can't come back.

You've taken my dreams
My only trues desire
Tore them to pieces
That burned in the fire.

I depended on you
As my only true friend
I thought we'd be together
Until the very end.

You've broken the bond
Threw away the trust
Torn up the pieces
That blew away with the dust.

I go away free
To a much better place
Watching you suffer
And see the fear on your face.

I need you no more
The damage is done
My heart has healed
You have NOT won.

I never thought this could happen
So out of my mine
Why couldn't I see it?
Why was I so blind?

MMM, i think a couple years ago. 8th or 9th grade? Back in the days when i had time and energy to be creative lol.
